Core Values - the Church at Bradenton
People - Worship - Truth - Community - Relationship - Unity
PEOPLE matter to God ... So they matter to us
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. - John 3:16
God desires that we WORSHIP Him ... So worship is a major component of who we are in Christ.
Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. - John 4:23
TRUTH is found in God's Word ... So the Bible is our source for instruction
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. - 2 Timothy 3:16-17
COMMUNITY is essential for spiritual growth ... So we emphasize relationship with one another and strengthening of the family
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching. - Hebrews 10:23-25
By this will all men know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. - John 13:35
Real hope is found in RELATIONSHIP with Jesus Christ ... So we are committed to helping people discover relationship with Him
For if, by the trespass of the one man [Adam], death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ. - Romans 5:17
Spiritual leadership can only happen in the context of UNITY ... So we commit to united spiritual leadership in the body of Christ
My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. - John 17:20-23
